Why I began Popagandism
This blog was built so that I had a place to shout at the world when it got me angry, mainly after reading a tabloid or seeing a celebrity swallowed by their own ego. When there is an instance of unfettered fame and rank posturing, I feel that someone should be be shouting them down. I also thought that person might be me. Sometimes it is.

I hate most cinema trips; they feel like a trap, and a particularly low-class one at that. Whether or not I enjoy the film, everything – from the uncomfortably plastic experience to the hyper-inflated cost of snacks to the tacky commercialism – makes the experience feel like an economically expensive, yet culturally cheap venture.
DiCaprio had never deserved an Oscar. They're shit anyway.
Oscars are not awarded on merit. They no longer represent the highest level of commendation, for the most worthy. Past controversies highlighted politicking and bribery which favour political choices, denying such undeniably wonderful performances as Peter O’Toole’s Lawrence of Arabia or Glenn Close’s Dangerous Liaisons.
